Preachers and Angels Both WIN!

[January 22, 2008]  DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Angels and the Preachers both won their games over Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque on Monday evening.

Angels

The Angels held Emmaus to eight points in the second half in defeating the Eagles 68-34. The 2-14 Angels were led by Jessica Blythe with 16 points, including four 3-pointers, while three other Angels were in double figures: Chelsey Kelly 13, Danielle Snider 12 and Bobbie Larson 10.

The Angels will play again Wednesday, at MacMurray College.

Preachers

The LCC Preachers, led by Landan Callahan, defeated the Eagles of Emmaus Bible College 64-54. Callahan had 17 points, six rebounds and nine steals in the game. Jon Wallace added 15 and Alex Bond scored eight points for the Preachers.

The Preachers are now 5-11 and will play at MacMurray on Wednesday.
