Joyce Leckrone

[January 25, 2008]  Joyce S. Leckrone, 65, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at 12:45 p.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Leckrone retired in 1995 from factory work at Eaton Corp.

She was born March 2, 1942, to Jack and Lucille Powell Spence. She married Kenneth Rosenthal in 1959. She then married Edward Lewis Leckrone in the 1960s, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2003.

She is survived by her mother, of Rives, Tenn.; one daughter, Jeanne Rosenthal of Lincoln; two sons, Jim Rosenthal of Arlington, Texas, and Mike Rosenthal of Lincoln; three stepsons, Michael (and Jo) Leckrone of Springfield, Robert (and Sherri) Leckrone of Desert Palm, Calif., and Vayne Leckrone of Taylorville; three stepdaughters, Brenda (and Alan) Ruot of Evergreen, Colo., Debbie (and Danny) McCain of Emden and Lori Leckrone of Decatur; two brothers, Jackie (and Danya) Spence of Rives, Tenn., and Jerry (and Janice) Spence of Dyersburg, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Jonah (and Alicia) Rosenthal of Indianapolis, Ind., Tia Rosenthal of Springfield, and Jordan Boice, Cole Boice and Kylie Fitzsimmons, all of Lincoln; and two great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her father; one sister, Vicky Joynt; and one brother, Bodie Spence.
