To the editor:
Mr. Carlo Jiannoni sent me a $500 check from Afghanistan, where
he was serving his country.
I disagree with Mr. Patterson that I was under some obligation to
return this contribution (letter).
Accepting the donation was legal and completely ethical.
Mr. Jiannoni was not sanctioned in any manner for any alleged
misconduct.
I want to restore family values to the office of the state's
attorney. As a man of family values, I believe in grace, mercy and
redemption.
