LCC Hall of Fame Weekend Feb. 8-9

[January 30, 2008]  Lincoln Christian College and Seminary will host its athletics Hall of Fame weekend Feb. 8 and 9. The activities include alumni games for women's and men's basketball in the Laughlin Center on Feb. 8 and a Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony the next morning in Henderson Hall. The weekend will conclude with varsity men's and women's basketball games in the Laughlin Center. Principia College will be the opponent for the games at 1 and 3 p.m.

Sue Harker-Bondurant and the 1965-66 men's basketball team, the newest members of the Hall of Fame, will be inducted at the banquet. Harker-Bondurant, Class of 1987, is being named for her outstanding achievements in basketball and volleyball. The 1965-66 men's basketball team is being recognized for its achievements, both as a team and for their combined years of ministry service since college. The inductees, along with other members of the Hall of Fame who may be present, will again be introduced between the two basketball games Saturday afternoon.

Kari McFadden (volleyball) and Tyler Nobis (soccer) will also receive recognition at the Saturday morning breakfast as 2007 Athletes of the Year.

The public is invited to share in all of the events. Banquet tickets are available at $8 per person by contacting Amanda Bowman at 217-732-3168, ext. 2322.

7 p.m. -- Alumni women's basketball

8:30 p.m. -- Alumni men's basketball

Saturday, Feb. 9

10 a.m. -- Hall of Fame luncheon and ceremony, Henderson Hall

1 p.m. -- Men's basketball, LCC vs. Principia College

3 p.m. -- Women's basketball, LCC vs. Principia College; halftime presentation of Hall of Fame inductees
