Lincoln Heat vs. McLean County Lightning

[July 03, 2008]  The Lincoln Heat 12U took both games of a doubleheader against the McLean County Lightning on Wednesday.

Gavin Block took the hill for the Heat in the first game and went the distance in striking out five along the way as Lincoln won 13-1.

Leading hitters for the Heat were Jordan Yarcho, Payton Ebelherr and Joey Olden, who were each 2-2; Ryan Sloan went 1-2; and Tyler Horchem had a game-ending grand slam.

Ebelherr took the mound for the Heat in the second game and went the first three innings before being relieved by Max Cook. Lincoln went on to win the second game 8-3.

Leading hitters for the Heat were Sloan, 2-3; Cody Heidbreder, 2-3 with a triple; and Cook, 2-3.

This weekend the Heat 12U will play in the Riverton 4th of July Tournament.
