Burgrabe's vs. Studio 620

[July 11, 2008]  Studio 620 and the Burgrabe Legal Eagles dueled back and forth until a final rally by the Eagles in the home half of the final inning gave them the victory, 15-14, in Mustang League play at Breezy Field late Wednesday night in Lincoln.

Studio 620 was held to one run in the first, but the Eagles opened with six hits and six runs in the home half. Studio 620 then banged out five hits and scored six runs. The Eagles fought back with seven runs and seven hits in the bottom of the second inning. Studio 620 responded with seven runs on just two hits, but the Eagles closed out the game as Mikaela Meagher tallied the final RBI and Danielle Burgrabe scored the winning run in the bottom of the third as the Eagles scored two runs to seal the victory.

Starting pitcher Reilly Gallagher (3-1) fanned five but was replaced by Emily Payne in the final inning. Payne struck out the final batter and was aided by the comeback to even her record at 1-1. Gallagher was 3-3, including a triple and three RBIs; Payne was 3-3; Alexis Van Hook was 3-3 with a triple and two RBIs; Kimberly Rhoades was 2-3 with two RBIs; Burgrabe was 1-2 with an RBI; Mikayla Smith added three RBIs; Meagher had two RBIs; and McKenzie O'Donohue added two RBIs.

The victory made the Eagles' record 5-6-1 on the season.
