Letters to the Editor

Lincoln Daily News welcomes letters of appreciation, information and opinion on matters pertaining to the community.

Controversial issues:
As a community we need to be able to talk openly about matters that affect the quality of our lives. The most effective and least offensive manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor:

The first of several town hall meetings has been set for Wednesday, July 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the new Logan County Paramedic building. It will be an open agenda to all topics and everyone is welcomed to participate.

My hope is to have a town hall meeting each month through December to hopefully keep people up to date on the many issues that are currently developing in our community.

Also the Cosmic Bowl-Youth Forum is set for Saturday, Sept. 6, from 4 till 6 p.m. at Logan Lanes. All youth between the ages of 11 through 18 are encouraged to attend as well as participate in the forum. The main objective is to have fun with two hours of free cosmic bowl. If there are any questions, you may contact Shawn Taylor at 732-2443 or myself at 732-9337. I look forward to another good turnout.

Finally, I am calling a press conference for Thursday, July 24, at 1:30 p.m. hopefully at Logan Lanes to divulge my political plans, as I have made my decision on my future plans.

Pat O'Neill
