Mildred Loercher

[July 28, 2008]  ATLANTA -- Mildred N. Loercher, 85, of Atlanta, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at 1:39 a.m. at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Maurice Stribling officiating.

Burial will be in McLean Cemetery, rural McLean.

Mrs. Loercher retired in 1988 from the Kathryn Beich company.

She was born May 1, 1923, in Junction City, Ky., to Martin T. and Gertrude F. Nevius Gordon. She married Marion J. Loercher on Dec. 26, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1977.

She is survived by two sisters, Lucy Williams and Elizabeth Daughtery, both of Atlanta; two brothers, John L. Gordon of McLean and Rex (and Dorothy) Gordon of McLean; and a brother-in-law, Jack Mayberry of Atlanta.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Gordon, Claude Gordon and Buck Gordon; and two sisters, Grace Spears and Geneva Mayberry.

Funeral Director

She was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad, Atlanta Fire Department or the Atlanta Christian Church.
