In the opener, Mason City took the victory 9-6 over Cross Brothers
Implement-Mount Pulaski. For Cross Brothers of Mount Pulaski,
Emily Johnston, Andrea Dickerson, Rachel Durchholz, Erika Leever and
Samantha McCarty all had singles. Pitching for Cross Brothers were
Andrea Dickerson and Rachel Durchholz.
For Mason City, Katy and Cassidy both had doubles, while
Danielle, Katlyn and Alyssa all had singles.
In the second game, the Mount Pulaski team defeated Mason City
10-8. Erika Leever took the win.
Leever also had a triple, and Johnston and Dickerson had doubles.
Leever, Johnston, Dickerson, Durchholz and Julia Beccue all had
singles for Cross Brothers.
For Mason City, Dalby, Danielle, Jenna, Katlyn and Shyanna all
had singles.
Cross Brothers Implement-Mount Pulaski now has a 1-1 record and
will host Lincoln at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a doubleheader.
