[June 12, 2008]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Cross Brothers Implement-Mount Pulaski hosted MKS Jewelers from Lincoln on Wednesday night for a doubleheader in 12-and-under softball.

CBI-MP won the first game 17-2. Taylor Anderson was the winning pitcher, allowing only one hit and striking out nine MKS batters.

Emily Johnston, Taylor Anderson, Rachel Durchholz, Erika Leever, Haley DeRight, Cady Lowery and Hannah Skaggs all had hits for CBI. Leever and DeRight each had three RBIs.

Jackie had the solo hit for MKS.

CBI-MP won the nightcap as well, 12-11.

Julia Beccue and Samantha McCarty each pitched the win for Cross Brothers Implement.

Taylor Anderson, Cady Lowery, Julia Beccue, Rachel Durchholz, Haley DeRight, Erika Leever and Emily Johnston all had hits for CBI, with Andrea Dickerson recording a home run. Durchholz led CBI-MP with three RBIs. Anderson, Beccue, DeRight and Leever had two stolen bases each.

For MKS, Kiersten, Heather, Sammie and Ashley all had hits.

The record for Cross Brothers Implement-Mount Pulaski improves to 3-1.

The Mount Pulaski team will travel to Atlanta Thursday night for a 6:30 matchup.
