Tied for first with a best best-ball-scramble score of
12-under-par 60 were the foursome teams of Dave and Nan Lockenour
and Jay and Shelia Sheley; and John Bunner, Adam Ramlow, Brandon
Fults and John Peters. The Lockenour-Sheley team was determined to
be the winner by means of a tiebreaker.
Other winners at the outing: longest put -- Sheila Sheley and
Roger Alberts; straightest drive -- Nan Lockenour and Brian Fuiten;
longest drive -- Marty Neitzel and Brandon Fults; closest to the pin
-- Joan Kellerman and Jordan Wilson; longest marshmallow drive --
Sheila Sheley and Jeff Carter.
Prairie Years sponsored a $10,000 hole-in-one challenge and
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans sponsored a $5,000 putting contest.
The event, attended by more than 50 golfers, was hosted by the
Zion Lutheran School Challenge Committee, with proceeds supporting
the school.
