Lincoln Heat 12U vs. Jacksonville

[June 19, 2008]  The Lincoln Heat 12U team won both games of their doubleheader with the Jacksonville Heat.

Max Cook started on the hill for Lincoln, going 3 2/3 innings and striking out six along the way. Payton Ebelherr went 1 1/3 innings, and Ryan Sloan closed out the game.

Sloan also had two hits in the game. Grant Cooper had a double, and Cody Heidbreder was 4-4 with an unheard of bunt for a double.

The Lincoln Heat went on to win the first game 13-4.

Gavin Block took the mound for the second game and went 3 1/3 innings. He was later relieved by Tyler Horchem, who finished out the game.

The Lincoln Heat won the second game 8-4.

Leading hitters for Lincoln were Sloan with two hits, Block with two hits, Cook with a hit and Heidbreder with a triple.

The Lincoln Heat 12U improved their record to 17-4.

Next game for the Heat is Saturday at Mount Zion.
