The team declined to release financial terms of the deal, but Harris planned to speak about the new deal during a news conference Friday morning.
The 25-year-old Harris is a three-time Pro Bowl selection. He started 56 of his 60 career NFL games and recorded 208 tackles during his four seasons with the Bears.
A 2004 first-round pick out of Oklahoma, Harris has had 13 sacks in the last two seasons
-- ranking him second among NFL defensive tackles.
As the prepare for next month's training camp, middle linebacker Brian Urlacher and return man Devin Hester still have unsettled contract situations.
