McLEAN -- Georgia Starkey Lunde, 99, of
McLean, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Meadowbrook
Nursing Home in Naperville.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Funks Grove Church in
rural McLean, with Tony Billingsley officiating. Visitation will be
from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. |
Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery, rural
McLean. Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is
in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lunde and her husband owned the Lunde
Implement dealership in McLean that later became
known as the McLean International dealership.
She was born June 12, 1908, in Muncie, Ind., to
Charles A. and Jessie Wiseman Starkey. She married
Theodore Lunde on Feb. 21, 1931, in Madison, Wis. He
preceded her in death in May 1984.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Sue (and
Ronald) Barnfield of Naperville; her son, Theodore
(and Marvelle) Lunde of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; one
brother, Thomas Starkey of Berrien Springs, Mich.;
five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers,
two sisters and one great-granddaughter. |
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church
in Lincoln and attended the McLean Christian Church.
She was also a member of the Home Bureau and
Pinochle Club in McLean.
Memorials may be made to the McLean Christian
Church.
