Rudolph Lolling

[March 24, 2008]  Rudolph R. Lolling, 86, of Lincoln died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at 1:29 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Daniel Tuhy officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Mr. Lolling was retired from farming in the Burton View area and retired from Pittsburg

Plate Glass Co.

He was born April 28, 1921, at Hartsburg to Simon and Katie Klokkenga Lolling. He married Esther Baker on June 20, 1943, in Emden.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Cynthia (and Mike) Smith of Decatur and Debra (and Dale) Aper of Mount Pulaski; one son, Monte (and Jennifer) Lolling of Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Suzann Lolling of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

One son, Michael, preceded him in death.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Rudy was an avid fan of the Cubs.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln or Vonderlieth Living Center, Mount Pulaski.
