Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: After reading the story about Mr. Fak's e-mail
scam, I wanted to tell you what I do when I receive an e-mail that
I'm not sure who the sender is. I right-click on the subject and
then click on "Properties." There I can see the actual address of
the sender. If I still have doubts, I click on "Message Details" to
get more information. I use Outlook Express for my mail and don't
know if this works for other e-mail programs.
I hope this helps other people avoid being scammed.
