Hugh 'Hoppy' Eans

[May 12, 2008]  MASON CITY -- Hugh "Hoppy" Eans, 70, of Mason City, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

A graveside service for Mr. Eans was on Friday at Easton Cemetery, Easton, with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating.

Mr. Eans, a former Lincoln resident, had lived in Mason City since 2002.

He was born July 3, 1937, in Chicago to Tom and Ethel Eans.

He is survived by his best friend, Rex Wells of Havana.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

He moved to Lincoln in 1950, to Country View Living Center in Latham in 1975 and to Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services in Lincoln in 1997.
