Delavan Ambulance hosts reception
for Dr. Morris' retirement
Many Delavan townspeople came to
an open house May 18 at the Delavan Ambulance building to share their
gratitude and give best wishes to Dr. Morton "Bud" Morris, who
recently retired from medical practice after 21 years of serving the
Delavan area. The reception commemorated his efforts in the founding of
Delavan Ambulance.
Dr. Morris had noted a need for emergency care and
transportation in the area, and in 1976 he started the ball rolling by setting up an
advisory board and then teaching the EMT classes.
Delavan Ambulance Service now has two fully equipped ambulances and
an all-volunteer squad of approximately 20 EMTs.
As a matter of interest, Dr. Morris' youngest child, Carolyn, is
currently an EMT on the squad while attending a local college.

Delavan Ambulance board of directors. Dr. Morris was presented with
a personalized motorcycle jacket as a retirement gift.
