Beautiful weather and a good reason to celebrate life brought out a good-sized crowd for the Logan County 2008 Relay For Life.  Numerous friends and families watched as 178 registered cancer survivors took the track at Lincoln Christian College for the kickoff survivor lap on Saturday morning.

 The American Cancer Society in Springfield is recording that over $76,000 was raised during the weekend activities.  According to Melanie Riggs, this is a preliminary figure only, as donations continue to come in.  Final figures will be presented later.
