[May 28, 2008]  PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Kyle Kendrick pitched effectively in a career-best 7 1-3 innings, and Greg Dobbs and Pedro Feliz both drove in two runs as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Colorado Rockies 7-4 on Tuesday night.

The Phillies have 42 runs and 46 hits in their last three games, all wins.

Kendrick (4-2), using a sinking fastball to induce ground balls, allowed two runs and seven hits while striking out five and walking one. He previously had gone seven innings seven times in his career.

Ubaldo Jimenez (1-5) continued to struggle, giving up seven runs and 10 hits in four innings as the Rockies fell to 1-10 in his 11 starts.

The Phillies, who had 19 hits in Monday's 20-5 win over Colorado, scored all of their runs in the first two innings when they sent 16 batters to the plate.

Dobbs, replacing left fielder Pat Burrell who was a late scratch with a stiff neck, hit a two-run single to right and Feliz added a two-run double to left that gave Philadelphia a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Geoff Jenkins knocked in runs in the second. Jimmy Rollins singled to center and scored on Utley's double to right. Utley scored on Howard's single and Jenkins followed with a double.

Philadelphia managed just two hits the rest of the way.

Ryan Spilborghs hit a two-run homer to left, his second homer in two nights, off reliever Tom Gordon in the eighth for Colorado. Ian Stewart followed with a double and Yorvit Torrealba singled to put runners on first and third. Rollins prevented further damage for the Phillies, ending the inning by robbing Omar Quintanilla of a hit by ranging far to his left and flipping to Utley at second for a force, his second highlight reel defensive play of the game.

The Rockies added a run in the ninth on Todd Helton's two-out RBI single off Brad Lidge.

The game was delayed by rain for 1 hour, 27 minutes in the bottom of the eighth.
