Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: We would like to take this
time to thank the 20 or so Lincoln College students who came to our
house to rake our yard.
Last Saturday, while it was cold and windy, the students spent
about 30 minutes raking the entire yard. They could have been in bed
sleeping in on the weekend, but instead they came to our house to
provide a wonderful service to my husband and me.
The maintenance staff then came and transported all of the leaves
away from the curb.
The college and their students were gracious, polite and worked
very hard. They not only did my house but several others as well.
I wish to thank them all for the great job they did!
In appreciation,
Harold and Joyce Seelye
