Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

(The following letter is in response to the LDN Perspectives article
"Pennies make a difference in local economy.")To the editor:
Very well said. This article is both very timely and a needed
reminder to us during these very difficult times for all local
stores, both large and small. It is during the months of November
and December that these retail sales produce up to 50 percent of the
annual profit for our retail stores.
Thank you for reminding us to try and buy most items locally so
each of us can help save our own stores and thus our community.
