Ruth Taylor

[November 13, 2008]  WAYNESVILLE -- Ruth A. Taylor, 78, of Waynesville, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at 8:30 p.m. at Manor Court of Clinton.

Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, with Dave Taylor officiating.

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Taylor retired from Lehn & Fink after 43 years of service.

She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Kenney to Earl and LeMira Luckenbill Meadows. She married Raymond "Slip" Taylor. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1979.

She is survived by one daughter, Patty Deason of Waynesville; two brothers, Bill Meadows of Kenney and Richard (and Karen) Meadows of Kenney; three sisters, Bev (and Harold) Palmer of Kenney, Dorothy (and Dave) Sparrow of Kenney and Marge (and Larry) Cooper; three grandchildren, Phillip Tarvin of Clinton, Teresa (and Eric) Hoff of Waynesville and Neshia Deason of Lincoln; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Dawson; three sisters; and one brother.

Funeral Director

She was a member of the Kenney United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Waynesville.

She graduated from Kenney High School.
