ANIMAL CONTROL (1517 N. KICKAPOO ST.);
SAFETY COMPLEX (911 PEKIN ST.);
DR. JOHN LOGAN COUNTY BLDG. (122 N. MCLEAN ST.);
HEALTH DEPT. (109-3RD ST.);
AND LOGAN COUNTY COURTHOUSE RAMPS.

LIST A SEPARATE BID FOR EACH LOCATION PLEASE.

SEALED BIDS ARE TO BE RECEIVED AT THE LOGAN COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE BY 4:00 PM ON DECEMBER 1, 2008. BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS MEETING ON DECEMBER 2, 2008 AT 7:00 PM AT THE LOGAN COUNTY COURTHOUSE, IN COUNTY BOARD ROOM ON FIRST FLOOR.

THE LOGAN COUNTY BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS AND TO WAIVE IRREGULARITIES THEREIN, AND ALL BIDDERS MUST AGREE THAT SUCH REJECTION SHALL BE WITHOUT LIABILITY ON THE PART OF LOGAN COUNTY FOR ANY PENALTY BROUGHT BY A BIDDER BECAUSE OF SUCH REJECTIONS, NOR SHALL THE BIDDERS SEEK ANY RECOURSE OF ANY KIND AGAINST THE COUNTY BECAUSE OF SUCH REJECTIONS, AND THE FILING OF ANY BID IN RESPONSE TO THIS INVITATION SHALL CONSTITUTE AN AGREEMENT OF THE BIDDER TO THESE CONDITIONS. A CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE MUST BE FURNISHED BY THE PERSON WHO SUBMITS THE APPROVED BID.

N O T I C E

Notice is hereby given that the Logan County Board will hold a public hearing on its intent to adopt an aggregate tax levy in an amount which is more than 105% of the amount of property taxes extended upon the levy for the preceding year 2007-2008.

The amount of property taxes extended on behalf of the County of Logan for the preceding year was $3,067,876.79.
The amount of proposed levy for the current year is $3,226,743.00.
The levy will be 105.2% of the prior year's extension or the percentage increase of 5.18%.
A public hearing on the proposed levy will be held on November 19, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Logan County Courthouse, Lincoln, IL.
The taxing district is Logan County.
