Lincoln Kroger helping food pantry and Toys for Tots

[November 19, 2008]  This holiday season Kroger will again participate in "Share the Feast," with 100 percent of the food and money collected staying right here in Logan County.

On Saturday, Kroger will have a pickup truck outside their doors 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and all donations collected will be delivered to the IGA to help get Jim Ash, station manager at WLCN-FM, Atlanta, off the roof of the IGA. The food drive at Kroger is in conjunction with the second annual drive for the Lincoln/Logan County Food Pantry.

Kroger will have pre-packed bags for $10, $5 and $3 available for purchase, but any donations will be accepted. Some customers might want to take advantage of the store's 10-for-$10 deals to add that personal touch to their donation.

It is also the fifth year that the Lincoln Kroger is involved in the local Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive. All toys and cash donations also stay in Logan County.

The entire staff at the Lincoln Kroger store hopes everyone will become involved with both of these great local charities.
