Lyman Wise

[October 15, 2008]  LAWNDALE -- Lyman H. Wise, 62, of Lawndale, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at 6:55 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

His graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at New Union Cemetery, with the Rev. Jame Hahs officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Lincoln Legion Post 263.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Mr. Wise worked as an insect exterminator for Logan County Pest Control, Lincoln.

He served in the U.S. Marines from 1962 to 1968 during the Vietnam War.

He was born Oct. 25, 1945, in Lincoln to Orville H. and Lucille Botkin Wise.

He is survived by two sons, Matt (and April) Wise of Wichita, Kan., and Mark (and Nicole) Wise of Washington, Ill.; one sister, Sharon (and Larry) Krueger of Lincoln; a brother-in-law, Robert Lowman of Lincoln; and three grandchildren, Trevor, Tressa and Corey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marjorie Lowman.

Funeral Director

He was a member of American Legion Post 263.
