[October 23, 2008]  For the second time this season, the Lincoln Christian College Angels were able to defeat an NCAA Division II school as they won their match with Oakland City University in five games Tuesday evening: 21-25, 26-24, 25-19, 21-25, 15-6. The Angels handed the Mighty Oaks their fourth defeat of the year to go along with 16 wins.

LCC improved its record to 20-7.

RestaurantCoach Jason Farr said after the game, "Sometimes you win ugly -- tonight was one of those times -- but we are learning when things are not going pretty, perseverance and teamwork will still be rewarded."

The Angels were led by Krystine Schnautz with 22 kills, five blocks and 10 digs; Jamie McFadden with 21 kills, five blocks and 15 digs; Adriane Tschantz with eight kills, seven blocks and six digs; Megan Donnelly with 58 assists; and Jessica Schroeder with 27 digs.

LCC will host Principia College on Friday evening, at which time the 2007 volleyball team will be recognized as the No. 1 academic team in NCCAA Division II last season.
