Look no further than the Lincoln Area YMCA when
school is not in session. The YMCA will offer School's Out Fun
Days on Nov. 7, for District 27 only; on Nov. 10, for
Chester-East Lincoln only; and Nov. 11, for both District 27 and
Chester-East Lincoln. These events will be at the YMCA Activity
Center, 719 Wyatt Ave., from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call the Y office
for program rates, registration deadlines and additional program
details.
Lincoln Parents' Center Stop-N-Play program is offered
to parents and their infant, toddler and preschool children, and is
scheduled on most Fridays each month at the Lincoln Area YMCA
Activity Center. Call Lincoln Parents' Center at 735-4192 for a
calendar of events and more information. |
Score with your kids and sign them up for the YMCA Youth
Dodgeball program beginning on Nov. 1. This program is for
children in third through sixth grade. Games will be played on
Saturdays from noon until 1 p.m. New teams will be formed each week.
If your child would like to take part in this exciting new program,
please register today! The 2009 YMCA Girls Basketball
program will soon be in full-court play. This program is for girls
in first through sixth grade. Instructional games are played on
Sunday afternoons, starting in January. Registration will begin at a
free basketball clinic on Nov. 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the
Lincoln Park District Sports Complex. Coach Carol Wilson and her
Lincoln College women's basketball team will teach the girls some
skills while they have lots of fun.
The next session of the YMCA Home School P.E. program will
begin on Nov. 13. Each week the children will take part in warm-ups,
relays and have fun playing gym games. This program is for
home-schooled children age 5 and up. Please feel free to contact the
