Pauline Mayzak

[April 15, 2009]  ELKHART -- Pauline Mayzak, 87, formerly of Elkhart, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 9:10 a.m. in Houston, Mo.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhart, with Father Thomas Shaw officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Mayzak was a homemaker.

She was born Feb. 9, 1922, in Chicago to Joseph and Magdeline Dzialowy Kachnik. She married Roman Mayzak in Chicago on May 5, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1993.

She is survived by four daughters, Jean (and Rich) Jurkiewicz of Hemiet, Calif., Joan (and John) Will of Elkhart, Josie (and Ron) Pitts of Knox, Ind., and Joyce Garab of Houston, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Funeral Director

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Mass cards will be accepted at the church.
