Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: The Run for Your Life two-mile run-walk at Lincoln
Christian College and Seminary was a successful event. I want to
thank all of those who volunteered, participated and supported our
sixth annual race. It's always a fun-filled event with our campus
community and guests from our city and surrounding area.
I especially want to thank all our sponsors: We are fortunate to
have several area businesses partnering with us year after year as
we encourage health and wellness. They graciously offered their
support by either financial sponsorship or donated goods and
services. Their involvement in various community activities speaks
volumes of their service and image.
Our 2009 sponsors: platinum -- Wells Fargo; gold -- Christian
Homes, Lincoln Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, Webster Construction; silver --
Century Dental Center, Jeff and Robbin Hills; bronze -- Apple
Dental, Charron's Auto Repair, Graue Inc. and Guzzardo's Italian
Villa; partners -- CEFCU, Cape Landing Salon, Cracker Barrel, First
Wok, Food Fantasies, Kroger, LCCS Starbucks, Lincoln IGA, "Mr.
Books" Bookstore, Natalie's Fine Baked Goods, Puritan Springs,
Runners World, Springfield Running Center and Wal-Mart.
Without them, we could not have provided this race. Our race was
a huge success and part of its success is credited to them. Thank
you!
Ann Spellman, race director
