Dorothy Baldwin

[April 29, 2009]  ATLANTA -- Dorothy A. Baldwin, 91, of Atlanta, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at 4:15 p.m. at The Christian Village in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta, with Ryan Edgecombe officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Mountjoy Cemetery, rural Atlanta.

Dorothy Anna Howen was born June 21, 1917, in Lakota, N.D., to John and Olive Rawdon Howen. She married Leebert F. Baldwin on March 7, 1936, in Lakota, N.D. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1980.

Mrs. Baldwin is survived by one son, Richard L. (and Nancy) Baldwin of Clinton; one son-in-law, Dan Enright of Rockford; two sisters, Margaret Reinekie of Gainesville, Fla., and Eva Hayter of Lincoln; six grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; and four step-great-grandsons.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lois Johnston Enright; one grandson; four brothers; and one sister.

Funeral Director

She was a member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church.

She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Memorials may be made to The Christian Village in Lincoln.
