Anna Eeten

[August 03, 2009]  HARTSBURG -- Anna Jeannette Elizabeth "Annie" Eeten, 84, of Hartsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at The Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln, surrounded by her family.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with Pastor David Russell officiating. There will be no public visitation time.

Burial will follow in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.

Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Eeten was employed by Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in the dietary department for several years.

She was born June 2, 1925, in Hartsburg to John and Minne Zieglowsky Lolling.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Eeten of Peoria, Gary Eeten of Lincoln and Dale (and wife Erin) Eeten of Hartsburg; her daughter, Lori (and husband Craig) Lessen of Emden; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Carl Lolling of Hartsburg.

One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.

She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also an active member of the Hartsburg American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral Directors

She was the bookkeeper for Hartsburg Union Cemetery for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
