[August 13, 2009]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Marie G. Awe, 95, of Mount Pulaski, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at 5:10 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Mark Drews officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Mrs. Awe was a homemaker.

She was born Aug. 9, 1914, at Bishop to John Fred and Bertha Pauline Friedberg Goldhammer. She married Elmer Awe at Eureka on Feb. 14, 1937. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2007.

She is survived by one son, Carl F. Awe of Elkhart; one daughter, Pauline C. Hunt of Springfield; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Mount Pulaski, the Ladies Circle of the church and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Funeral Director

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran School in Mount Pulaski.
