[August 19, 2009]  HEYWORTH -- The West Lincoln-Broadwell baseball team lost its first game of the season 8-3 on the road at Heyworth, despite outhitting their hosts. 

Payton Ebelherr was the tough-luck loser on the mound for the Wolverines.

Joey Olden had two hits and scored two runs. Jordan Yarcho also collected two hits. Sam Tiffany had three singles.

In a high-scoring second game, WL-B lost 21-13, with Brock Byrge taking the loss on the mound.

Byrge had three hits in the game. Brayden Curry had two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs. Kyle Fitzpatrick, Jacob Konczyk and Josiah Smith each had a hit and two RBIs.

The Wolverines next play host to Athens on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
