[August 21, 2009]  MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Brett Favre likely will play only a series or two when Minnesota hosts Kansas City in a preseason game at the Metrodome on Friday night.

Favre is getting adjusted in his first week with his new team. Coach Brad Childress and Favre have known each other for years, but their relationship could reveal an interesting dynamic.

The quarterback has a reputation as a risk taker, and holds the NFL's career record for interceptions. Childress pushes a conservative style, and he's a stickler for details.

Favre ran this offense with Green Bay for 16 seasons, but how will he mesh with the way Childress wants it done? Former Packers quarterbacks coach Steve Mariucci says Favre is a "very coachable guy."
