LJHS beats Chiddix 8-5

[August 24, 2009]  BLOOMINGTON -- The Lincoln Trojans went to Bloomington to take on the Chiddix Chargers and ended up with an 8-5 victory. 

Brent Metelko started on the mound and was one of four Trojan pitchers to take the hill. Austin Krusz took over in the fourth and was the winning pitcher. Max Cook recorded the last two outs to pick up the save.

Leading hitters for the Lincoln Junior High Trojans were Grant Cooper, 3-4 with two doubles and two runs scored; Garrett Aeilts, 1-2 with two walks; Austin Krusz 2-4; and Cooper Hake went 2-4.

LJHS is now 3-1 on the season.
