Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[August 26, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery slipped 0.5 cent to $4.9875 a bushel, while December corn fell 8.75 cents to $3.2675 a bushel and December oats gained 3.75 cents to $2.295 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery dropped 8.5 cents to $9.99 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle lost 0.05 cent to 88.75 cents a pound; October feeder cattle fell 0.33 cent to $1.0012 a pound; October lean hogs rose 1.48 cents to 48.3 cents a pound; and February pork bellies slid 0.65 cent to 78.45 cents a pound.
