Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Peasley
Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ryan Edgecombe
officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home
from 1:30 p.m. until the service time. Burial will
be in Old Union Cemetery.
Dorothy Mae Buss was born July 15, 1915, in
Lincoln, a daughter of Charles Richard and Emma
Katherine Yates. She married William B. Buss on Dec.
24, 1935, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on
June 15, 1996.
Mrs. Buss is survived by her daughter, Nancy (and
Gerald) Carter of Lincoln; three grandchildren,
Penny Garrison of Bartlett, Tenn., Stephen Carter of
Minooka and Guy W. "Guido" Carter of Lincoln; and
two great-grandchildren, Austin Garrison and Jackson
Carter.
She was also preceded in death by her parents,
stepfather Henry "Harry" Everman, two brothers, one
sister and one stepbrother.
She was a member of Jefferson Street Christian
Church.
She had worked at Christian Village Nursing Home
and with the Foster Grandparent program.
