Millie Allen, 91, of Lincoln, died
Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at 9:36 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral
will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Walt
Harper officiating. |

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen retired from Newhouse Jewelry Store,
where she was a sales clerk.
She was born July 18, 1918, in Lincoln to
Nicholas and Hazel Davis Hopp. She married C.
Wendell Allen on Aug. 28, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo.
He preceded her in death on March 19, 1989.
She is survived by one son, Ron Allen of
Clarksville, Tenn.; two daughters, Linda (and Pat)
Gleason of Taylorville and Darla (and Mike) Rohrer
of Lincoln; grandchildren Gregory Allen, Jeffrey
(and Katie) Allen, Michael (and Jill) Allen, David
(and Phonepraseuth) Allen, Tim Gleason, Shana (and
Colin) Rost, Jennifer (and Jeff) Leesman, Doug
Rohrer and Jason Rohrer; nine grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her
immediate family. |
She was a member of Broadwell Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to Broadwell Christian
Church or Friendship Manor.
