Marjorie Woosley

[December 04, 2009]  NORMAL -- Marjorie M. Woosley, 81, of Normal, formerly of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at 5:47 a.m. at the McLean County Nursing Home.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta, with Pastor Andrew Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the funeral.

Mrs. Woosley was employed as a certified nurse's aide for 30 years at the Bloomington hospitals.

She was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Rutland to Niels and Zelda Bowles Nielsen. She married Lyle Richard Woosley on Sept. 21, 1947, in Heyworth. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1999.

She is survived by her children, Marjorie Mardelle (and Alan) Craig of Waynesville and Tom Richard (and Melodi) Woosley of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, Michel (and Tim) Emrick of Mount Pulaski, Russel (and Jennifer) Craig of Lincoln, and Mollijane Woosley and Tanner Woosley, both of Amarillo, Texas.

Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a member of the Carlock Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to Waynesville United Methodist Church, Cancer Centers of America in Normal or McLean County Nursing Home.
