[December 14, 2009]  QUINCY -- The Lincoln College Lynx defeated the John Wood team 69-46 on Saturday afternoon.

Lynx coach Kirk Whiteman assessed the game:

"John Wood had a very poor shooting night, and coupled with our guys pushing the ball in transition and applying pressure on defense, led to a great conference road win.

"We had balanced scoring, with Kyler Works leading the way with 12 points and six rebounds, five assists to one turnover. Chris Ware with 11 points 11 boards, Steve Hines gave us great minutes with 10 points, and Kiel Turpin had 10 points and eight rebounds."

Lincoln moves to 10-4 (1-0). John Wood drops to 8-3 (0-1).

Lincoln will close out the first-semester schedule at Danville on Tuesday.
