In a game that was not as close as the final score would indicate, LCU dominated in the paint and played what LCU coach Matt Clark
called "the best defense we have played all year." The Red Lions led
by 29 with 10 minutes left in the game, at which point Clark began
to substitute liberally. The win increases the NCCAA 10th-ranked
Red Lions to 6-3.
Leading the Red Lions in a very balanced attack were Jon Wallace
with 20 points, eight rebounds and one assist; Landan Callahan with
14 points, 4 of 5 from 3-point range and three assists; Chris Lawson
14 points; and Josiah Brock with 12 points and eight rebounds. Six
other Red Lions made it into the scoring column.
LCU shot 54.5 percent for the game, including 57.1 percent from
3-point range. LCU also won the battle on the boards 33-29.
LCU will be on semester break until their next game Jan. 6, when
they travel to Moberly, Mo., and take on Central Christian College
of the Bible.
