Betty Anderson

[December 28, 2009]  Betty Louise Anderson, 73, of Lincoln, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at 11:43 a.m. at home with her loving husband of 56 1/2 years by her side.

Her body will be cremated and memorial services will be at a later date.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mrs. Anderson worked at Lincoln Developmental Center and prior to that at Hotel Lincoln. She became a homemaker until her death.

She was born Aug. 12, 1936, in New Holland, a daughter of Frank and Mary Ann Barr Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Abraham "Bud" F. Anderson Sr.; two daughters, Barb Bergman of Lincoln and Lona (and Mark) Mann of Lincoln; four sons, Abraham Jr. of Lincoln, Dennis Sr. (and Judy), of Lincoln, Mike of Clinton and Kevin of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Donald at birth, Marvin and Russell Brown; and two sisters, Mary Katherine Anderson and Florence Mae Tangman. She was the last surviving member in her immediate family.

Funeral Director

Betty enjoyed being surrounded by her family and tending to her large assortment of flowers.

Betty will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Memorials may be made to cancer research, Memorial Home Hospice or to the family.
