[February 10, 2009]  After Lincoln College defeated the Monmouth JV 90-55 Monday evening, Lynx coach Kirk Whiteman talked about his team's performance:

"I thought we did some very good things tonight on the defensive end of the floor that helped create some offense for us tonight. We also did a good job at times against their zone. While we didn't shoot the ball well from the 3-point line tonight, we did get some good looks by moving the basketball.

"It's hard to point out negatives in a big win; however, if Chris Ware and Bryce Davis don't step up for us on both ends of the floor, it is going to be a very long seven games to finish out the year.

"I was proud of Steve Hines. He plays so hard and is someone our starters can look up to in this area. If we get everyone to give us the effort Steve Hines gave us tonight, we will be fine in the last seven games."

The win moves the Lynx to 17-6 overall, 9-0 in the conference.

Their next game is at ICC in East Peoria on Wednesday.
