Edith Lutz

[February 16, 2009]  Edith E. Lutz, 77, of Lincoln died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at 1:04 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Henderson officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 6, 1931, in Lawndale to James and Mary Wilson Benedict. She married Norman Gene Lutz on Feb. 14, 1972. He preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1991.

Mrs. Lutz is survived by her daughter, Shari (and Rick) Davis Boward of Lincoln; three stepchildren, Michael Lutz and Lisa Halbertson, both of California, and Michelle Gibbs of Nevada; one brother, C. Fred (and E. Alzada) Benedict of Lincoln; two sisters, Nora Emmons of Lincoln and Alice (and David) Comstock of Lincoln; one grandson, Ryan Davis of Lincoln; and eight stepgrandchildren;

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Humane Society of Logan County, Memorial Home Services or St. Clara's Manor.
