[February 16, 2009]  RIVER GROVE -- The Lincoln College wrestling team traveled to Triton College in River Grove for the Central Regional on Sunday. The Lynx came home winning the team title. Lincoln scored 118 points, narrowly outpointing Muskegon CC, with 117.5, and Meramec CC, with 117. Both teams were nationally ranked ahead of Lincoln.

The Lynx had five finalists and finished the day with four champions.

141 pounds -- Demond Carter, second

149 pounds -- Lucas Cropp, first, and voted outstanding wrestler of the tournament

157 pounds -- Bryce Lumzy, third

165 pounds -- David Dwyer, first

174 pounds -- James Nakashima, first

184 pounds -- Tom Fritz, fifth

197 pounds, Ryan Donahue, fourth

Heavyweight -- Corey Anderson, first

All eight competitors qualified for the national tournament in Rochester, Minn., Feb. 27-28.
