[February 23, 2009]  The Lincoln Youth Wrestling team recently traveled to Chatham and Peoria for competition.

In Chatham, Max Koning, in the 9- and 10-year-old age group, brought home Lincoln's lone championship trophy.

Jacob White placed second in the 9- and 10-year-old division.

Also in the 9- and 10-year-old group, Jarrett Poole and Jonathan Riddle each grabbed third place, and Austin Swarts finished fourth.

Kaison Reagan picked up a win and a third-place medal in the 6-and-under group.

In the 7- and 8-year-old division, Alexander Bergin placed third, while Trevor Bree and Bryce Watkins both finished fourth.

Conner Routson competed in the 11- and 12-year-old division and finished fourth.

Max Koning once again paced the Lincoln team at Peoria, finishing with a first-place trophy and finishing off the regular season with a Lincoln Youth Wrestling record 24 wins for the season.

Jonathan Riddle placed third and Kaison Reagan finished fourth.

The Lincoln team travels to Springfield on Saturday for regionals.
