Gloria Felton

[February 25, 2009]  Gloria D. Felton, 74, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at 1:56 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Craig Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Felton was a homemaker.

She was born April 10, 1934, at Athens to Fred A. and Lena Miller Weidhuner. She married Clinton E. Felton on July 5, 1957, at Lincoln Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; two daughters, Vicki Felton of Springfield and Beverly Felton of Lincoln; one grandson, Zachary Rickord of Lincoln; three brothers, Delbert (and Linda) Weidhuner of Athens, Ronald (and Karen) Weidhuner of Athens and Fred (and Helen) Weidhuner of Middletown; and two sisters, Doris Curry of Williamsville and Evelyn (and Roger) Beeler of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Philip Dean Felton; one brother, William Weidhuner; and one sister, Katherine Peddicord.

She was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities in Illinois.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
