Donna Meyer

[February 25, 2009]  Donna J. Meyer, 76, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at 8:42 p.m. at Lincoln Christian Village.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Meyer had worked as a registered nurse at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield and was co-owner of Mel-O-Cream Donuts in Lincoln.

She was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Havana to Alvin and Verna Hackman Meyer. She married Carl F. Meyer on Sept. 2, 1953, in Springfield.

She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; one son, David (and Kathy) Meyer of Lincoln; one daughter, Maribeth (and Barry) Keir of New South Wales, Australia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln and a past member of Zonta.

Memorials may be made to the building fund of her church.
