Betty L. Elkins, 77, of Lincoln, died
Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at 6:21 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical
Center in Peoria.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Morris officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. |

Mrs. Elkins
retired from Lincoln Developmental Center in 1991 as
a technician II.
She was born Sept. 24, 1931, at Thompsonville to
Marion and Nellie Bennett Hargett. She married
William Elkins on Oct. 4, 1958, in Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband, of Lincoln; one
daughter, Ann (and Jonathon) Coleman of Lincoln; two
brothers, William Hargett of Thompsonville and
Edward Hargett of Benton; one sister, Mae Bozarth of
Thompsonville; one grandson, Jon Coleman of Lincoln;
one granddaughter, Christine (and Wesley) Fuchs of
Phoenix, Ariz.; and two great-grandchildren,
Mackenzie "Doodle Bug" Fuchs and Bryton "Bubba"
Fuchs, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one
son, Michael Elkins; and one sister, Sue Schwartz. |
